Screening Process

Overview

The MAP Tournament uses manual screening performed by our screening team on all registrants. Exact screening criteria will remain hidden until screening concludes to prevent manipulation.

Screening Criteria

Primary Evaluation Areas

1. Rank Verification

  • Must be between 75,000 and 999,999
  • Checked for rank manipulation patterns
  • No rank buffer provided

2. Account Activity

Factor What We Check
Account Age Account creation date and activity history
Play History Playtime and count distribution
Activity Patterns Recent activity and inactivity periods
Restriction History Past restrictions and their resolution
ETX Patterns Unusual or suspicious patterns

3. Tournament History

  • Previous tournament participation
  • Past behavioral records
  • Performance consistency
  • Community conduct

4. Performance Analysis

  • ETX ratings evaluation
  • Top play patterns
  • Skill consistency checks
  • Tournament performance history

Our screening team may use reasonable discretion to screen players who raise concerns even if they don’t meet specific criteria.

Eligibility Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Rank between 75,000-999,999
  • Clean restriction history
  • Account in good standing
  • Tournament rule compliance
  • Good community conduct

Failing to maintain these requirements until registration closes will result in automatic screening.

Appeal Process

How to Appeal

  1. Open a ticket in #open-ticket
  2. Include required information:
    • osu! username
    • Known screening reason
    • Appeal justification
    • Supporting evidence

Appeal Guidelines

  • All appeals are reviewed individually
  • Decisions are final
  • Harassment results in immediate denial
  • Multiple appeals are not accepted
